Creating a Mosaic
I have found 4 common things that mosaic paintings have:
1. They are comprised of straight and curvy lines to make a variety of shapes and with gaps in between each shape.
2. The different shapes, or "blocks," are painted different colors.
3. Sometimes the blocks are multi-colored
4. There are different sizes of blocks, small and large!
Use the fast-drying medium of Derwent Inktense Blocks to do this TidBit, which from previous TidBits, you know how to use! You also know other techniques like using a pencil for your preliminary sketch, using wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, AND using a Sharpie to refine your lines once the painting is dry!
