Despite some mediocre attempts in my past, I still to this day cannot draw realism. That's why I just LOVE tracing paper. Actually, I like all paper...but I'm using tracing paper here to copy a realistic drawing and then am using tissue paper and gesso to add texture to my journal page. Any paint can be used on the tissue paper (once the gesso dries), but I'm using watercolors here. This is not a complicated technique, but a time-consuming one, so if you're in the need to meditate with your journal, this TidBit will serve you well!
